School students are preparing to take part in the North Derbyshire Young Enterprise Trade Fair.
The Fair – hosted by Chesterfield Borough Council – takes place in Rykneld Square, near Chesterfield Tourist Information Office between 10am and 4pm, on Thursday, March 1.
Students, aged 15-17, will represent 12 Young Enterprise companies taking part in the YE Company Programme, which gives students an opportunity to gain practical experience of business and enterprise by setting up and running their own company.
YE companies include students from Brookfield Community School, Eckington School, Chesterfield College, Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School, Newbold Community School, St Mary’s High School, Mount St Mary’s College, Netherthorpe School and Tupton Hall School. The youngsters will be loaned pop up market stalls from Chesterfield Market, giving them the opportunity to experience trading on the market and they will hopefully pick up some tips from established market traders.
