The grand vision for Winchester House has caused concern among traders, who fear the plan spells the end for the town’s market.
Hazel Kent, who runs the Market Café, contacted the Bracknell Forest Standard after viewing the plans.
She said the idea of moving the market has not been discussed with any of the traders and raised fears about the whole market complex being out in the open. She said: “I, along with all the other stallholders, are absolutely fuming. I looked at the plans again and it turns out that the market is going to be outside.
“How on earth are many of the stallholders expected to trade in a windy city in outside units? “Will these so-called structures contain enough space for chest freezers and a seating area? “What about the fish man and the butcher? They all need running water and storage facilities.

FURIOUS traders at Bracknell Market fear the £50m project to replace the former 3M building with modern apartments and a shopping mall could put their livelihoods at risk.
As part of the plans by Comer Homes, the indoor market beneath the building would be closed and its traders moved to a site outdoors.
The developers want to demolish the derelict tower and replace it with 311 apartments, restaurants and shops.
Stall-holders have accused the developer of “rushing into” redeveloping Winchester House before finding an alternative place for the market. They say Comer Homes has not informed them about the plans, saying the first they heard of them was in the News last week.
